Website creation flow

What is the website creation process I'm currently using?

Get a Clear Picture or Planning and Discovery:

  1. Client kick-off meeting: This is super important because with out there input there is nothing. There is no need for a website if there isnt a client that needs a website. But even more than that what is their brand identity, goals, target audience. Isn't it unreal how so many website do not reflect the brand? We'll the change starts here and with you.
  2. Site Map and Wireframe: This is the perfect opportunity to start materializing the website and client expectations. They might know what they want or they just wanna go with market standards. Time to flex and show them that you know what your offering and create trust with your client. If you build trust your going to have a great time creating this website. Important stuff to land: What pages will the website have and what will be the story behind it? Stories move people and even your UI/UX should have a story.

Design and Development

  1. Design: This is the time to really show off, its always good to create a mood board, goals, story, what do we want the site to show. What is the message behind it? And have a few different options. Its also great to talk about fonts and colors. Its great to have an open communication with the client and having great conversations with pintrest images is the best.
  2. Content Creation: This should be delivered by the client but if they are slow or unresponsive you better use open source images and chatgpt to get good copy brand relevant. Obviously make the copy your own, but you can't let the content and copy road block you from delivering the website.
  3. Client Approval: It super important to get client approval before developing. This is important because if there isn't an explicit approval you might need to go back and change a lot of stuff if the client changes his mind. With the approval the client might still change their mind but you can charge an additional fee with no problem.
  4. Development: This is the most fun part of the project but its also the most expensive and if you get stuck on something it gets annyoing and even emotionally draining. So as long as you have expectations ready you can get this done and deliver a ton of value.

Test and Deploy

  1. QA: Quality test te website. Is it responsive? Is it everything you promised it would be? Does it have the features you promised and does it overdeliver?
  2. Get Client approval and client feedback. But if you have been asking for feedback you will probably have little or none.
  3. Deploy. Most satisfying feeling in the world. Deploying a new high quality project that adds value to your client and yourself.

That's basically the flow I try to stick with from start to finish! The best is there is always room for more improvement!

I think a lot of people including my self and my team has everything that's needed to constantly and consistently deploy high quality digital products if you want to explore refreshing your website and have it really reflect your brand, please reach out!
